This morning we didn't make it to church, but we had church in the driveway complete with mud puddles and worms. I can't remember the last time I felt this grateful for the joy this little boy brings to my life. It is such a privilege to watch him play and grow.
As Easter approaches I can't help but think of how our Father in Heaven rejoices with us in the moments we are fully present and conscious of His blessings. Because of His sacrifice, we have life...a real, tangible, muddy, splashing, joyful, and giggly life.
Thanks be to God for the rain the past two days. Had there been no rain, there wouldn't have been any mud puddles to splash in this morning.
