I am thankful for all of my friends in the medical field. It makes our circle of friends' lives so much easier.
Like the time dear L cut her finger tip off and they stitched her up on the kitchen table. Yup. Just like that. In front of all of us. It was like the Discovery Health Channel.
Then there was the time B was really, really sick and they hooked her up to a bag of fluids right there in her bedroom. How lovely, how comfortable. How convenient.
Then there was tonight.
S: Hey, did you guys get your flu shots?
Me: No. I don't want one.
S: You want one, Mr. B?
Mr. B: No.
S: Want one, Mr. B?
Mr. B: Sure.
S: (With beer in hand, opens fridge, pulls out shot, sticks Mr. B) Mrs. B, sure you don't want one? Remember Nashville?
Me: OK, you're right. (He sticks me)
S: L, you want one too?
L: Sure, why not. (He sticks her)
See. It is that easy. If anyone had been watching through the window, they would have wondered what a bunch of folks were doing with beer in one hand and syringes in the other.
"Theres jush Flu shotzs, ociffer. Flu shotzs."

Wow..that is crazy! haha We don't hang out with any doctors, seems like it has advantages..haha.
Yeah, that was a flu shot alright! :)
you have the craziest stories!
My Mom is a nurese and does flu shot clinics. If we hadn't had our flu shot yet, she would have shot us up too! LOL.
(That sounded pretty funny)
Now that is nice. I have to play the "plague" card for my doctor to even consider giving me one. I do have a friend that's a psychiatrist. I worry that she's always "diagnosing" me.
Oh you don't know what I would give to be a good friend of a doctor. You are living my dream.
