For your broken, healing heart

If You Want Me To
-Ginny Owens

The pathway is broken
The signs are unclear
I don't know the reason why you brought me here
But just because You love me the way that You do
I will go through the valley If You want me to

Now I'm not who I was
When I took my first step
I'm clinging to the promise You're not through with me yet
So if all of these trials bring me closer to You
I will go through the fire If You want me to

It may not be the way I would have chosen
When you lead me through a world that's not my own
But You never said it would be easy
You only said I'll never go alone

So when the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
And I can't hear You answer my cries for help
I'll remember the suffering Your love put You through
And I will go through the valley If You want me to

(I love you, RAK. )

Not sure how I stumbled upon your blog - but I enjoy it. I appreciate your writing as well as your scripture references. Thanks for sharing - JohnnyO http://fatherhoodmatters.blogspot.com

This is an inspiring song by Ginny Owens...I should have stated that from the beginning. I have edited my post giving credit for her. It is a song that reminds me we are not alone. Although we might not know what it is yet, our life has a purpose and He will reveal it to us one day at a time.

So, once again, I am crying over this small, very significant incident that God has apparently chosen for us... thanks to you Jamie=) I only say "small" because today, when I remember lying there being told measurements of 6 1/2 weeks when it should've been nine, it feels like such a tiny moment of time that I can hold in my palm. And as hard as I try to hold onto what it was, it only seems to slip away, getting smaller and smaller. Thanks Jamie for helping me cope, hold on, and let go.
