Do you remember when you were three and the bath tub seemed huge? Like you had your very own private swimming pool in your house?
Do you remember when you were three and coloring on the wood floor with your bright red marker was fun and not even almost given a second thought, even if your parents were trying to sell their house?
Do you remember when you were three and you loved laying on your back with your mom next to you looking at all the shapes the clouds made?
Do you remember when you were three and the hardest choice you had to make was whether to have milk or apple juice for dinner and you just couldn't have both?
Why can't I be three today?
Today, for me, the tub is not only small but it is a huge pain in the butt to clean.
The red "washable" marker on the floor won't come up even after trying every leading cleaning product on the market and we have an open house on Sunday.
The grass is way too wet to lay on because of all the rain this week so we looked at the clouds as we drove.
And tomorrow morning, someone is going to have to console the poor child while he throws a fit when I tell him there is no milk to put in his cereal. Because he chose milk instead of apple juice for dinner.
And this is how I'm feeling this Wednesday night.

that is by far one of the coolest pictures i've seen thus far...
my husband left me a note this morning to "enjoy the day with our son...imagine life through his eyes".
i think he meant that to benefit keplar and to help me be patient, BUT...what if i imagined life through keps eyes for ME. like, choosing what to make for dinner as a PROJECT rather than a chore. and, trying to fold clothes as he unfolds them as a GAME rather than an aggravation.
kinda hard to do considering the reality bearing down on us, but it lightens the load nonetheless.
xo !
Try a magic eraser on the
marker... it might work. I have ALWAYS
hated scrubbing the bathtub- you must have inherited that from me. Keep on being a fantastic mommy and loving that little man.
I love you, Mom
Heck, I'm 25, and tomorrow morning I will regret not having any beer to pour on my cereal, as I chose to have my last 2 tonight. Maybe one day I will learn.
Uncle Adam

do you remember when you were three and something bad happened and you could just crawl into someone's lap and feel like everything was going to be ok? that was awesome.
