I love taking pictures of textures. I love depth, shadow, light, texture...
Some, like the picture above, turn out to look like abstract paintings to me. It isn't a painting, it just looks like one, don't you think?
So what do you think this is a photograph of? It is an actual thing.

Beach sand over - some sort of pool? Or maybe it's just a tide pool at the beach? Something beach related, for sure. I don't guess that's much of a guess.

I hope my guess is right so I can win this. It looks like to me to be a cement painted surface, possibly in the basement or garage.
first thing i thought of was a vase...like, an old vase that is either just painted that way or cracking or something.
second thought was a pole outside somewhere...like, at a park or something.
SO, since i don't think we get two guesses, my one guess is something metal painted...that is sort of rusting and cracking...we'll go with a pole outside.

Duh.... It's a ghost coming out of the painted cement surface someone else mentioned! Legs at the lower left, torso, arms raised to its sides, and mouth wide open.
I'm guessing a shovel - the middle part maybe?
I LOVE taking pictures of abstracts like textures, reflections, shadows, etc. They serve as inspiration for my painting. This is a great abstract pic!

Wheelbarrow?

Okay after looking at this for many hours...:-) My guess is the inside of a wheel barrel with cement and rust(with a bolt where the front wheel is attached) ...OH PLEASE let me be the winner:-)

just so you are aware, i had a dream last night that i'd had an epiphany and figured out what it was!!! and, of course, now i don't remember...so, my guess stands :)
Gas container for a grill - no - actually I think it is part of a metal ladder.
OK - a the side and bottom of a blue wheelbarrow that has rusted and been used for sheetrock mud or cement mixing.
And Happy Birthday - we miss you!! Also - I need your mailing address.
I think it looks like dirt on the bottom of a blue wheelbarrow. Tim's guess is that it's some sort of granite or stone!
