It is true, having a toddler can complicate things.
This week, in fact, has felt very complicated.
Thanks be to God, today I was reminded of the simplicity only a child can bring.
How quickly a pain disappears by simply giving it a kiss.
How soothing and fun a simple game of catch can be.
How simply moving lunch from inside to outside made an adventure (and a beautiful memory).
How a simple blanket (Nenni) can mean the difference between life and death (not literally).
How quickly I am grounded by a simple prayer.
And how a simple little flower that he picked can brighten an entire kitchen, even when placed on an old dirty windowsill.

Here's to our simple day.
May yours be as equally simple.

Beautiful.
When can all y'all come up and visit for a weekend?
Excellent post, Jamie. I will reread this post many times...when we're not having such simple days.
