2. Finding this old picture of him sleeping. I still remember that perfect morning. It is amazing to reflect on the 14 months that have passed since that picture was taken. Back then our days were full of sleep, nursing, tummy time, toothless grins, druel, wobbly heads, runny poohs, and spit up. Now we are learning colors, letters, how not to put rocks in exhaust pipes, all the places in the house to hide mommy's phone, how the word "no" can be misheard as "OK mommy really means go ahead and do that one more time", and how much fun we can have spending the entire morning playing and discovering the infinite details of our front yard. I am so thankful for every moment of the past 14 months (well, 19 months for that matter), both happy and frustrating, because they pass so quickly.3. My " to do list" for the day has been marked off so I am free to sit, write, read, day dream, chat on the phone, or do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day. Or maybe I'll pick up a paint brush and do something productive. Either way, I love that I don't have any other obligations for the rest of the day...or at least until he wakes up.
4. Costco's already marinated salmon fillets that are defrosting in the sink for dinner. So quick and easy (and healthy) and much cheaper than eating out.
5. It is a beautiful day. A bit windy due to storms rolling in, but at this moment it is beautiful. No matter what becomes of the weather tonight, having peace in this moment reassures there will be peace after the storm.
"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." -Psalm 118:24
